Review: With enough blood and gore to any fan of action movies, and a unique love story to please the ladies, this is a great movie for couples to watch together. However, to really understand the beauty of this film, you should see cut.the United States is still a great movie, but cuts 24 minutes, which contain much of the heart of the film, and the European version most of what makes a work of art in the film instead of the usual feeding action. Elements of the story that only hinted at in the United States each become the focus of the story, when the uncut version seen.The two main characters are a recently orphaned girl who is wise beyond her years and an assassin who is still an innocent. Their relationship develops in a context of murder and revenge as a director Luc Besson explores issues of age and maturity, good and evil, and the interaction of life, death and love.The acting in this film is superb. Reno has an expressive face that many emotions with great sensitivity and of few words conveys. He is cold as ice, as almost superhuman professional, but his performance is the most moving when he reveals his sensitive side. Looking like his wounded soul begins slowly enough to the heart of every woman to touch to heal, but it is managed in a way that is never too thin sappy.In her film debut, Natalie Portman turns in a performance that is beautiful beyond all imagination. She manages the transition from a scared child to a woman can kill in such a convincing way that not only makes credible the relationship between her and Leon, but understandable.Gary Oldman is simply the best there is psychological, and it is a kind of nice to see without all that makeup alien to him for a change. Like a corrupt cop in this film that personifies evil, and is a pleasure to see him do his thing.The special effects are all you can hope for. Besson makes great action scenes - especially the explosions. There is also a lot of humor and if you launch a tender love story - This picture is everything! |
